Class Descriptions

Posture Class
Move with less body pain, ease back discomfort and look your best while you improve your posture. Examine your personal posture and gain insight on how to sit, stand and move with better alignment. You will learn some specific exercises to not only improve postural defects but how to move throughout your day with less effort and pain. A great class for anyone, including those in chronic pain, Pilates, yoga and dance instructors as well as health care professionals.

Walking Class
If you want to use walking to increase your overall conditioning and/or to lose weight then you need to learn some basic fundamentals. Discover your current walking pace and how to improve it to maximize your results. Learn how to monitor your heart rate to burn the most fat. Find how to use your posture and your core muscles to achieve a total body workout. Prevent hip and back injury when you choose the right stride. You will receive pre and post stretches and a walking diary to chart your progress.

Pilates for Golfers
Improve your golf game, eliminate low back stress and pain and increase balance, coordination and flexibility when you learn how to connect and strengthen your core. This 8 hour Pilates course designed exclusively for golfers, teaches you specific exercises to: improve your stance, become more mobile in hips and shoulders, safely increase torso rotation and rebalance your body inside and out.

Healthy Back
A healthy – pain free back relies on a strong core. Learn the Pilates technique of stabilization, alignment and control. Discover easy – to – learn, valuable exercises to strengthen your abdominals and create flexibility of your spine.

De-Stress
What is stress? Find out in this 90 minute lecture/workshop. You will take a stress test to see just how stressed you really are and learn and practice some effective mental and physical exercises to combat stress. Meditation, visualization and various breathing techniques will be discussed and preformed.

Meditation
Learn how to quiet your mind and ease stress and anxiety with meditation and breathing techniques you can do anywhere. Valuable tools and resources will be discussed to help you continue your practice after the workshop.

How to be your own Personal Trainer
With all the information out there, how do you start a fitness program?
Learn the 3 components that every successful fitness program needs. Discover how to incorporate them easily into your own home-based program. Create a planned, no fail strategy with goals in place and be on your way to a fit and healthy body.

These workshops can be condensed to a 1 – 2 hour time block or longer depending on the amount of information you want delivered.
